When should your kids take the sacrament?

It was funny cause I was just trying to remember the other day when we started having Wade take the sacrament. I couldn't remember how old he was. We haven't really had Kingston take it yet. We figure he is only eight months old and doesn't really seem to intrested. All that changed on sunday when he decided he want to take the sacrament himself. Let me explain. Latley when we set food in front of Kingston for feeding time he immediately spits his binky out and opens his mouth. It is really cute. Well on sunday Mike was holding King in his lap as the sacrament was being past. As the tray was being past in front of Mike Kingstons eyes got wide and he immediatly spit his binky half way across the room. He opened his mouth and started saying, "aw aw aw." It was so funny. Mike and I just looked at eachother and started laughing. "I guess he wants some bread." I said. I know he doesn't understand the meaning of the sacrament yet, but at least he can practice taking it untill he does. Kingston is so much fun and he really brings so much joy to our family everyday.

Snowman #2!!!

So we had another suprise this morning. We woke up to another winter wonderland. Wade and I have been playing out in the snow all morning long. We built our second snow man of the season. We decided that daddy is alot better at building snowmen than mom, but oh well. He turned out all right. I can not get Wade to come inside. It is so funny. He just keeps bouncing around and running threw the snow. Then he will fall down and make snow angels. He gets up and says "Mom, look at my wings." Then he bends over and throws a snowball. Then he grabs a handfull of snow and putts it in his mouth. It is so cute. He is so excited about the snow. Wade is getting to be so big. He is getting to be so much fun.

I do this for the grandparents

I thought this was a cute video of Wade and Kingston. I mostly put these videos on here for the grandparents. It might be boring to other people, but I thought it was cute. I can't believe how much Kingston looks up to Wade already. You can tell that he just really wants to impress Wade. It has been really fun for me to watch. If Wade is laughing at something Kingston automaticaly starts to laugh. He wants to be just like his big bro. I really love these two little boys.

We Love Halloween!!!

It is late on Halloween night, but I couldn't go to bed with out posting some pics first. I couldn't decide what picture looked the best so I posted two pics of my costume. I must say I was quite proud of it. I really love dressing up at Halloween. I think it is so fun to be someone else for a day. Now that I have kids, I feel like it is even more fun. Wade had so much fun trick or treating tonight. It was really neet to see him run from house to house to get candy. He was so excited. Mike was Jack Sparrow again. He wore the costume all day at work. He said that when he would go into doctors offices they woould all make a fuss about his costume. He looks pretty sexy I think.(I kinda have a thing for Jonny Depp. I don't really know why?) Kingston wore wades pirate costume from a few years ago. He looked so cute I thought. I love that little guy. Then I was Workout Barbie still in the box. I put some time into making this costume and I think it turned out pretty good. Anyway, I had fun making and wearing it. We had a really great Halloween. Now onto the holiday seasons. I love this time of year. I'm really excited.

pumpkin carvin time.

Good Day Mate!

Anyone who knows me knows that I love Steve Erwin. I was so sad when he died. I just thought he had alot of carizma and he love what he did. I thought he was fun to watch and just a neet person. So for halloween this year I decided to carve his face into my pumpkin. My mom was in town and our friends Kellen and Dez came over to carve. We carved pumpkins at their house last year when we lived in Cedar so we decided to keep the tradition alive and do it agian this year. It was alot of fun. Kellen carved Tiger Woods, Dez did Albert Einstein, Mike did the skull and crossbones, and I did Steve. Pumkin carving is so fun and kinda magical too. The whole time we were carving, all of us were saying how our pumpkins didn't look anything like the people we wanted them to, but when you put the candle into the pumpkin, and turn out the lights, something magical happens, and they become who you were wanting. I really love it. Halloween is so much fun!!!

Greatest Saturday in a long time.

This Sat. was prob. the best one I have had in a really long time. My mom came into town for my cosins wedding. On Sat. morning we went out to breakfast with my family. My grandparents, my aunts, and my brother Chris and his wife and kids. I am really glad we got to eat a big breakfast because right after, Mike and I headed up to do the bobsled trail right above salt lake city.(My mom watched our kids. Thanks mom.) It was so beautiful to look down and see the whole city. I think all of us have certain things we do that make us feel closer to our husbands or wives. I feel closest to Mike when we are doing the things we love to do out side. The year and a half that Mike and I dated was spent snowboarding and wakeboarding. The more I did these thing with him, the more I fell in love with him. He was so fun, and not to mention he looked really sexy doing three sixties off of jumps on his snowboard, or cruzing threw the trees in the soft powder. Anyway, getting back to the subject, we don't get to do to much of that stuff any more just me and Mike because we have two little boys who have to tag along now, which usually means one of us has to sit out on the fun. That is ok, it just makes a day like this Sat. extra special. A few years ago when we lived in Cedar Mike got back into mountain biking. He really helped me get into it too. Now it is something that we both really love to do. Of course Mike does all of the crazy stuff. I just like to ride, but I am starting to learn how to jump, as you can see from the picture above. We always put sweet pics of Mike mountain biking on our blog, but none of me. I thought it was about time. After we went mountain biking we dropped the kids off at Josh and Alica/ Chris and Shars house (thanks again guys) and headed up to the Salt Lake Temple for the wedding. I always love going to weddings. I love to listen to what the sealer is saying and pretend I am getting married all over again. It was really nice. Every time something was said that touched me, I would feel Mike squeeze my hand three times, which is our secret way of saying I love you. (I am starting to find out that alot of people do that. So I guess it's not so secret, but still special to me). After the sealing my cosin had a really nice dinner for everyone over at the Joseph Smith building. It was up on the 9th floor, and it over looked the Temple. The Temple is so beautiful at night, and it was really breath taking. I fell asleep that night just feeling so good, and so happy. I really had such a wonderfull day with my husband. I was remided through out the day why I love him so much and that I am so lucky to have married him.

We love three day weekends!!!

Beware of many, many photos. It was UEA for teachers this weekend so Miks sis Mindy decided to drive up from Arizon with her family to Richfield. Mike took Fri. off work and we headed down for three days of fun. Friday morning Mike and I went for a bike ride on the twist above Glenwood. It was so fun. I have been dieing to go mountain biking all summer. I havn't got to go at all this summer. Kids, you know. That afternoon wile kids were sleeping we did a little hike to a place called Bulls Head right above Richfield. It was really fun. The mountains in Richfield are so unique. I love all the red rock.
Hi Mike
This little part is called Lemon Squeeze. I think you can see why.
We made it to the top of Bulls Head. Yea!!! Wile we were hiking down Mike spoted this little dropp off he wanted to try on his bike. Thats my Mike always thinking about mountain biking.
Here is Kacey checking out the drop off. The picturs don't do it justis. I thought it was pretty big.
Go Mike!!
I recorded a little video of mike doing the jump. This is the first time he did it. He always just goes for it. I think it is so awesome. Mike just amazes me every day. Again the video doesn't do it justis.

The next day we did the neetest thing. I will never forget it. We went to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins. It was a real pumpkin patch. They pull you out in to the patch on a hay ride pulled by a trackter. Then you get to wanter the patch and pick your pumpkin. It was so neet to find a pumpkin and then pick it off the stem. We had a great time.
Here is the patch.
Wade-o looking for his pumpkin.
Kingston and Daddy.
Look at the awesome pumpkins we found.

They had a trackter with a little train atached to it. All the little kids wanted to ride on it but at the time we got thier no one was around to drive it. So of course Mike just hopped on and started it up. Again he amazes me. Who knows how to drive a trackter. I didn't even know he could do that. He drove the kids all around. They loved it.
Wade-o on the train.

Later that afternoon we drove up to the Big Rock Candy Mountain and road our bikes down the paved road in the canyon. We barowed bikes from neihbors and a bike trailer for Wade and King. They had so much fun rideing along as you can tell.
The old train tunnel.
What a fun ride. Go grandma go.

We finished the trip up by picking apples in Grandmas back yard. We had so much fun. Thanks for the great trip. Now Wade has to go threw Grandma detox before his Grandma Hoagey shows up this next week and spoils him all over agian. We love Grandmas.

First snow of the year YEA!!!

This morning we woke up to a big suprise. It snowed the first snow of the season. I have never seen Wade so excited. He started dancing and saying "It snowed, it snowed, i'm gonna go snowboarding." I was laughing so hard. I have no idea ware he learned that from. Just kiding. We put on his snow boots(thankfully they still fit, barley). He ran out side and started throwing snow balls.

Wade throwing a snowball at dad.
Mike and Wade built a little snow man. Wade rolled the middle ball. He looked so big out side rolling the snow ball. Mike is such a fun dad and always loves to play with Wade.
After playing in the snow for a wile we decided to go for a ride to get some hot chocolate. It was so funny. When we walked into the gas station Wade looked at the cashier and said, "I ate some snow." The cashier said, "Oh ya? Was it good?" Wade responded, "Ya, it wasn't yellow." The guy started laughing so hard. I love Wade so much. He says the funniest stuff. I am greatfull he is my son and I get to be around his coolness all the time. He is way cooler than I am and I can't believe I get to be his mom. Stay cool Wade, I love you so much.

Fall Fun!!!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE fall weather. Growing up in California we never had any season changes. Since I have lived in Utah i have grown to look forward to the season changes. Fall is one of my favorites. This is the canyon that is just five min from our house. It is so beautiful right now with all of the colorfull trees.
Kingston love his uncle ryan so much.
Mikes sis Katie came up and stayed with us. Wade had so much fun with is cousins Crew and Madison.
Grandama Hoagie came up to stay with us for a few days. Wade and Kingston love her and have had so much fun. Wade has had fun baking bread, collecting leaves and doing fun projects with grandma.
It was such a beautifull day. We had so much fun looking at all of the colors and hiking around the mountain. Any time that I am in nature and I see the beauty of this earth, my heart fills with warmth and I know that God is there for me. This life is so sort. We need to live it every day the best we can. Family relationships are so important and I am so greatfull for the family that I have and the memories we are building along the way. Sorry for that little tangent, Monsons talk really got to me.

California Trip!!!

Alicia I stoll thease pictures from you I hope you don't mind. Your such an awesome photagrapher I couldn't help it. Any way a little over a week ago I started feeling like I just needed to get out of here for a little bit. I wanted to just go on a trip. Of course it would have been better if I didn't have to take my kids along but that is how it goes. I texed Alicia to see if she wanted to come with. I thought that she prob couln't cause they are right in the middle of building a house but to my suprise she said she could come. The next day we packed up the kids and headed out. It was a long drive to say the least. Jaxon and Wade never stopped fighting. The babies did pretty good though. The first day we went to the beach and it was so much fun. We swam in the ocean and road the waves. I miss the beach. That night we went to Knotts Scary Farm. It was pretty fun but for some reason I got off of one of the rollercoasters feeling so weired. Then I felt sick. I think it was a combination of things that did it. I was so tiered from the drive and I had a bad cold and it didn't help that it was 2 in the morning. Alicia was such a good friend. She drove me home. I held my puke in all the way home but as soon as I stepped out of the car i bent over and puked my guts out. It was Awesome!!! Alicia just stood thier in support. I felt better afterward anyway. Thanks for being such a good friend Alicia.

The next day we went to the El Toro air force base and road in a helium balloon. It was pretty cool. It was kinda windy so they only let us go up 200 feet in the air. I think we were all scared. I can't imagine going up 400 feet witch is what it usually dose. Wile we waited the boys had fun climbing in the trees and dropping from the branches.
The next day we went to D Land. It was awesome cause we got in for free. Thanks Jonny. The boys had so much fun meeting Mickey Mouse. Wade told Mickey that he was his best friend (along with grandma Hoagy of course). We got home from D Land at about 10:30 at night. Alicia and I both looked at our sleeping kids in the back of the car and then at eachother. We were both thinking the same thing. "Lets drive all night." We packed up in about an hour and left. We decided we would both stay awake all night talking to keep eachother awake. We stopped and the gas station and stocked up on energy drinks. The whole night is a blurr. I don't remember half of the stuff we talked about but I remember laughing so hard and just feelin compleetly delusional. All in all it was a fun trip. One that I will surely remember and laugh about for years to come.

This Tue night Mike, Marsh, Nany and I went to the So You Think You Can Dance tour. It was ao awesome. I was compleatly obsessed with watching this show when it was on. Thease kids are so talented. It was really cool to see it in person. They really put on a great show.
4 REAL!!!
They performed so many great dances. All of the favorites.
All I wanted was to see one dance. The breefcase dance. I was so excited when they did it. I fillmed the hole thing but my computer is not letting me down load it right now so here is a picture. This dance is so amazing. If you havn't seen it you should find it on You tube. It was so cool to see it live.
